Joining ANSC
Welcome to the Allegheny North Swim Club!
We're excited you've taken this first step in learning how to join our program. To join ANSC, your swimmer will need to attend tryouts and qualify for the team. Tryouts occur once a year usually in the August or September timeframe. Before your swimmer can tryout, you must meet certain criteria.
- Swimmers must reside in the North Allegheny School District and be entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
- A basic knowledge of the four competitive strokes is helpful as well as being comfortable swimming 25 yards at a time.
- Your swimmer must be willing to commit to >50% of practices. Practice days rotate but occur two to three days per week.

ANSC Camp & Tryout Information
For the upcoming 2026-2027 Season

When: Monday, August 24
Tuesday, August 25
Wednesday, August 26
Time: Ages 9 & Under 5:00 - 6:00 PM
Ages 10 & Over 6:00 - 7:00 PM

Important notes:
- For more information about ANSC please check out our team FAQ page
- Due to district planned events the last session will be Wednesday this year
- Please arrive a few minutes early on Monday evening to check-in with the coach and/or a board member
- Swimmers should be dressed in swimwear prior to arrival with goggles and a cap (especially for long hair)
- We recommend swimmers attend all the sessions
